St8ofmines By Ear Mixtape Review : Well Done 2

Peace and Blessings
The West coast Y.M.C.M.B member Tyga has recently released his sequel to his critically acclaimed mixtape Well Done. Well Done 2 consists of 12 of the hottest hip hop beats where tyga is able to display his variety and depth of flows. The mixtape has appearances from Nipsey Hussle, Gudda Gudda, as well as Chris Brown. As far as lyrical content the material is pretty repetitive and caters to those who are already Tyga Fans.
This formula has worked for him and has helped his accumulating buzz, but for a new ear I would say the mixtape lacks replay value. If your a tyga or youngmoney fan you wont be dissapointed, check out the tape here. http://www.datpiff.com/Tyga-Well-Done-2-mixtape.252451.html

New Music Update:DIARY OF AN UNDERDOG[Mixtape] -Cancun

What's Good?
Hip-Hop gives birth to at least five M.C.'s a day. To stand out amongst the rest of the rappers you have to take a vacant lane. Young emcee Cancun has taken a lane that hasn't been taken on a big level in over 4 years. The gritty hip-hop era has been fading away since most rappers took the melodic level minded tone. Now with his new project on hand titled 'Diary Of An Underdog' Cancun will display that his music represents life as no vacation.

St8ofmines Throwback Of The Week

Peace and Blessings

New music is always good to hear but appreciation and homage must be paid to the artists who have paved the way for the current artist to do their thing. In honor of this "A throwback Video Joint" will be posted weekly just to take it back a tad. Music videos are and have been the formula to help present an artist to the public as well as display a director's artistic vision.
First up on the "Throwback List" is Yonkers own Dark Man X. Fresh outta the clinks, I hope D can come back and bless us with the hard, brash, thug rap that put him and The Ruff Ryders at the top of the game at one point enjoy and stay posted for more hits weekly.

New Music Update: Gone [Mixtape] -Muhsinah

What's Good?
Fresh talent is never celebrated as often as it should be. The eclectic songstress Muhsinah has taken time away to delivered a new freEP for her fans title 'GONE'. The very minute I began the tape I was refreshed with her new sound. Many people may remember her by featured work from 'House of Cards' on The Foreign Exchange EP tilted 'Leave It All Behind'. The six track EP has enough ranges to display her work in which she written, produced, and recorded herself. @Lucky_Peters cosigns this project.

By Ear Album Review: Lil B I'm Gay

Peace and Blessings

Brandon McCartney A.K.A Lil B The Basedgod has been gaining mass attention via the mixtape circuit as well as social media outlets for his signature cooking inspired songs and persona. The former member of The Pack has been working on solo work for some time and has recently released his Solo Album Titled "I'm Gay". Though the title is somewhat outlandish and questionable the album itself is quite powerful.

In listening to the thirteen track compilation Lil B comes with powerful messages of mental slavery and the struggles of his past. This is the more serious side of Lil B and it is quite impressive his flow and delivery is pretty much the same as most of his current work but the lyrical content is something far left of what listeners would expect from the "BasedGod" If your looking for the entertaining funny Lil B look elsewhere this album is of more substance and value than the typical "BasedGod" music. Check the link for the drop... http://www.blogger.com/www.mp3boo.com/download-mp3/lil-b-im-gay.htm

Curren$y X Lil Wayne

You might have seen this but this is video of Curren$y's Jet Life Tour in Miami. Wayne came through... video of them kicking it makes music alive for me. As I was a heavy fan of both their music back when Curren$y was signed with Wayne and YM.

Album Release: Section 80 -Kendrick Lamar

What's Good?
Kendrick Lamar has finally graced his fans with his latest release 'Section 80' after releasing his well renowned EP 'Overly Dedicated'. The Top Dawg signee has reached every corner of the country with his storytelling abilities. Kendrick truly deserves every ounce of his success. Now with Section 80 currently running straight off iTunes into the ipods of every hip-hop fan K Dot can only wait to see where his organically created fanbase will take him. Personally my favorites are (@Lucky_Peters) Tammy's song, Reagan Era A.D.H.D.,No Make Up and chapter six ....So Far. I am really impressed because he uses a sample from KING who hasn't really hit the waves with their three track EP on this side of the world.
