Black History Month Note:

Just a moment of your time..

(Malcolm X speaks.. brothers of Omega Psi Phi in attendance)

Happy Black History Month to everyone out there.. happy celebration to everyone, as this is a part of all of our history. Without many of the strides by those mentioned with Black History, hiphop music and culture would not exist.. and this site would not exist either.

I was kind of mad at myself for not thinking to make a blog note yesterday but I was reminded by my good friend @ipooda (check her on twitter and her blog theretrosoul.blogspot.com -->its dope).

Quick note about the month and why its in the shortest month of the year lol In 1926, Carter G. Woodson, a man of Omega started "Negro History Week" during the second week in February to recognize the birthdays of Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass and their contributions to the state of the African American. The week was later extended to the full month of February and renamed Black History Month.

BUT.. what I really wanted to do to for this month is to more adress our hip-hop lifestyle and living... I want to try to uplift a little bit, which we don't do enough. ALL of the freedom fighters (MLK, Malcolm X, Frederick Douglass) believed the in one truth.. I just want to mention this.. THAT
