Florida Gators Head Coach, Urban Meyer has stepped down from his position today stating he wanted more time with his family as well as enjoy his life off the field some more.
Last year after a game verse Alabama, Meyer was hospitalized with chest pains and many thought he would retire then but he did not and came back this past season but it was a disappointing one to say the least. 7-5 overall and 4-4 in SEC play.
"The decision to step down was a difficult one," Meyer said. "But, after spending more than two decades motivating and celebrating the young men I've been so proud to coach, I relish the opportunity to cheer for my three terrific kids as they compete in their own respective sports."
Press conference will be held today at 6pm on ESPN.
We at Novembers Children wish Coach Meyer and his family all the best.
