FAYETTEVILLE (AP) — Officials at a state university have cleared two fraternities of hazing accusations after an internal investigation.
The Fayetteville Observer reported today that one of the fraternities at Fayetteville State University was cited for a nonhazing violation.
The university said Alpha Phi Alpha and the Delta Gamma chapter of Omega Psi Phi fraternity were both cleared of hazing allegations that had been reported in January.
The newspaper said Alpha Phi Alpha members allegedly used a wooden paddle to beat some male students.
